VISA To Push RFID Credit Cards

VISA plans to incorporate RFID tags into Credit Cards so that "consumers need only wave credit and debit cards within a few inches of a reader to complete a purchase. And for purchases of less than $25, no signature is required." VISA claims their system is very secure...we shall see.RFID is very insecure for this purpose. Anyone with proper equipment can properly boost your tag from 10 feet or more away. I highly recommend not getting on of these, and if you do or are forced too, find a wallet that is designed to block the frequencies associated with RFID.World record for bluetooth sniping is over a mile, where both devices emit a signal. RFID only emits a signal when is hit by a energy source (it has no internally battery, and basically resonates with the incoming energy, so to get information, the station you swipe in front off, emits a fregency and listens to the RFID's tags unique response.)So to get a card's tag, all you need to do is assemble a palm sized device that emits that apporiate signiature at a amplified signal, and has a directional attenna to pick up the faint reply.
